Thanks Lisa. Your videos are quite inspirational. Yesterday I did not sleep and implemented lot of the changes you suggested for my channels and making them target able.

I am getting a check from google every month for the past 1 year, but they barely make the minimum payout. I want to take my online incomes to the next stage. I have a plan to sell information products through my blog. Do you suggest that I create a static page for this purpose or should incorporate that feature in my blog?

@mosullivan511 A collection of randomness…. YES! What a great way to put it. :) Unfortunately that’s what a lot of blogs are.

this has helped me a lot. I started using many affiliate programs such as rolution(dot)com/en/E763294Z/ and starting earning revenue thanks a lot.

Lisa I JUST bought a domain & paid for WP hosting (I havent worked on it yet), but something told me a blog was not what I wanted. Now I’m stuck with this blog. So you’re saying there are ‘ themes’ or ‘layouts’ within WordPress to make it like a static website? Thanks

My site is very new (it hit the net on Halloween of last year) and I am using Yola as my site builder.I do not know if it is a blog or a static site. I am using on my pages with news what yola calls a “News” page. I have my separate events on different pages, on page for Orlando Horror Nights, one page for Hollywood Horror Nights, and our Knott’s Scary farm page. can you tell me if I have a blog or if it is a site. I will send you my link if needed. Thanks!:)

Stop talking about what works and won’t doesn’t and start proving it. Right now I think there are people watching this video that are thinking to them self that if you can prove it your a liar or that people think you just haven’t got enough knowledge about blogging, you can turn any blog into a static website if you know how, like I do and anybody else who does web development.

I’m not sure if you have done this, but can you make a blog post or youtube video, etc. on how to make static pages for blogs and effectively utilize them?

    Thanks,
    Andy

Thanks for simplifying Affiliate Marketing – there re a lot of get rich schemes out there to navigate past, so newbie affiliates need simple guides on how to get started with affiliate marketing. Is it ok to add a link to your videos to our website, Affiliates School?

Im a blogger for many years, and i have to agree with you completely! Great tips Lisa! Basing on my experience too, my static site is definitely doing better than my blogs (ExpressInStyle dotcom and FiftyStatesTravel dotcom).

How do you come up with a good name for a web site, And how do you know it is not already being used?

Hi Lisa, the advantage though of blogs is that it keeps potential customers coming back. In a static website the potential customer gets all the help he needs through your content but you don’t see them again especially if the site doesn’t have an auto responder to collect their email by offering them something free in exchange.
